How a day meeting the beings in the Pacific NW changed me.

I had wanted to visit the old growth forests of the Pacific NW for some time, and when a work trip came up to Seattle, I decided to go a day early and try and hike.

The trip DID NOT DISAPPOINT. What was supposed to be a two-hour hike turned into a 6hr experience of a lifetime. The nature beings in the old growth forests are so alive, vibrant, and eager to communicate. I was completely enraptured in the magnificence of the plant and fungal life. They revealed themselves so easily and completely immersed all of my senses with their magnificent sites, textures, and smells. I was lost in a wonderland and they were showing me visions of how humans used to engage very playfully and very often with them; gathering together for any reason at all to sit by the fire, laugh, play, sing, and love. They expressed to me how much they missed engaging with humans in this magical, festive, intimate way.
